The other day, I read a line in a book somewhere about how the days go by slowly but the months and years fly by at an alarming rate.
I don’t agree. The years, months and days are all flying by at an alarming rate!
adobe cs5 has launched.
Adobe launched CS5 on Monday of this week. I had the chance to see the on-line launch where they hilighted just a few of the new features in Photoshop, Flash and Flash Catlyst, Dreamweaver, In Design and their group of video production tools. It looks amazing. If you use any of the Adobe Creative Suite tools, I recommend you check out the launch presentation.
I had hoped to check out some of the many, many CS5 tutorials that were released this week but I just didn’t have the time. However, they are out there so if you’re curious, do a quick google and check them out. Let me know what you find!
photoshop world 2010
I hadn’t planned on attending PSW in Las Vegas this year but after seeing the big changes this year in CS5, I’m sorely tempted to change my mind. This year’s conference runs Sept 1 -3 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. I attended last year and it was a fantastic learning experience.
enough already – how about design currency?
Ok, enough with the Adobe speak – I know it’s been a focus of a lot of posts already but it is such a huge tool for so many people working in creative fields!
However, for those of you working in the design industry in BC, the Design Currency Conference is running April 26-30 in Vancouver in partnership with the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada. I won’t be in town, otherwise I would be attending but there are some interesting discussions and workshops to check out.
That’s it for this week – hopefully the weekend will slow down a little bit!
